Wambari House Limited
- Wambari House Limited is a family business established in 1996 and incorporated in 2004 as private limited company. Its main objective was to take advantage of emerging export opportunities from Kenya and Africa in general where comparative trade advantages exist.
- We are based in central highlands of Kenya. Our fly production factory is located about 40 km west of the capital city Nairobi The current directors are Mr. I.K. Wambari (32) and Mrs. G.M Wambari (60) all Kenyan entrepreneurs.
- We are bulk manufacturers of hand tied fishing flies and selected angling gifts and crafts. The fly patterns displayed on our website are just a small representation of the hundreds of patterns we can do.
- Please note, we do not solicit retail sales. Our fly tackle is targeted at dealers i.e. fly fishing tackle wholesalers and resellers. We also do custom fly tying. This represents about 20% of our business. This work is done in confidence and is given our premium attention.
- We employ approx. 120 fly tiers – most of them women. Some of our fly tiers have over 20 years tying experience. We are happy to note that, the business has greatly improved the welfare of our employees and their families.
- We have grown to become a leading fly tackle exporter. We have serviced clients from as far as U.S.A, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Australia, Netherlands, Ireland and Germany.
